Trinity Family & Friends:
We continue our journey together through our sermon series, While We Are Waiting, it’s been a powerful experience thus far. I’m thrilled to preach our next sermon topic, “What Happens While I Wait?” Waiting is an inevitable part of life’s journey, and it often brings with it a mix of uncertainty, anticipation, and introspection. While waiting can be challenging, it also opens doors for profound spiritual and personal growth.
In Mark 1:1-8 (CEB), we’re reminded of the pivotal role John the Baptist played in preparing the way for Jesus, illustrating the importance of being spiritually and emotionally ready in our times of waiting. This passage encourages us to view waiting as an active period of preparation and self-discovery. On the other hand, Numbers 14:1-9 (CEB) offers insights into trusting and maintaining faith during uncertain times. The Israelites’ experiences and reactions provide valuable lessons on patience, obedience, and maintaining a hopeful perspective even when the path ahead seems unclear.
To foster deeper understanding and connection, think on these questions:
Our waiting times can be transformative, if we approach them with the right perspective and a heart willing to learn and grow. I look forward to this Sunday and anticipate what God will do in our midst.
Blessings,
Pastor Dedric
