Greetings Trinity!
This Sunday in both worship services, we will celebrate our United Women in Faith (UWF) and the impact this ministry has made at Trinity as well as around the world. Our UWF Women will be serving as greeters, ushers, and scripture readers, and we will highlight the many other ways they serve Trinity throughout the year.
Our worship theme will be “The Ripple of Faith,” and we will focus on Acts 9:36-42 and Galatians 5:13-14, 6:9-10. Both scriptures remind us of the call we have as Christians to use our gifts in service to the needs of others. The Acts passage centers around the impact of the life & ministry of Tabitha. To Tabitha, her acts of service likely seemed small and insignificant in the grand scheme of things. And yet, here we are 2000 years later telling her story! The same is true with the United Women in Faith, who since 1869, have been offering consistent & faithful acts of service that have rippled into the world in life-changing ways.
I invite you this week to begin asking God where you are called to serve. As you do, keep in mind that the answer may seem small, and thus insignificant. Remember that with God, all acts of service are important - and we never know how God can and will use our small act of faith to make a huge ripple in the Kingdom. As Mother Teresa once said, "We know only too well that what we are doing is nothing more than a drop in the ocean. But if the drop were not there, the ocean would be missing something.”
I can't wait to worship with you at 9 am Traditional in the Sanctuary and 11 am Cross Connect in the New Room! I also can't wait to meet the new friend you invite to worship with you!
Have a blessed week!
