4.20.25 EASTER SUNDAY: All Fear is Gone
Matthew 28:1-10, 1 John 4:7-12 (CEB)
Dear Trinity Family & Friends,
Easter is almost here! This Sunday, we will joyfully proclaim the Good News of resurrection and the victory of Jesus Christ with a sermon entitled “All Fear Is Gone” based on Matthew 28:1-10 (CEB) and 1 John 4:7-12 (CEB).
In Matthew’s Gospel, the angel at the tomb declares, “Don’t be afraid! You are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He isn’t here, because he’s been raised from the dead.” Fear is replaced with hope, and sorrow gives way to joy. The resurrection proclaims that because Jesus lives, all fear is gone!
This week, I also encourage you to walk with Jesus through all of Holy Week:
- Maundy Thursday Service with Choir and Communion at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary
- Good Friday Tenebrae Service with Praise Band at 6:30 p.m. in Wesley Hall
On Easter Sunday, we will celebrate:
- 7:30 am Sonrise Service with Communion, led by our youth in the New Room Lobby
- 9:00 am Traditional Service in the Sanctuary
- 10:30 am Contemporary Service in the New Room
As we prepare for this holy day, I invite you to reflect on these questions:
- How does the resurrection of Jesus replace fear with hope in your life?
- Who in your life could use the reminder that God’s perfect love casts out fear?
- What is one way you can live as a witness to the resurrection, sharing Christ’s love and hope with others?
Easter is a perfect time to invite someone to worship with you. Whether it’s a neighbor, coworker, family member, or friend, your invitation could make all the difference in their journey of faith. Together, let’s proclaim the victory of Christ and the hope that transforms our lives: Because He lives, all fear is gone!
See you this week!
