Gratitude for Our Gift of Giving Journey Together
Reflect on "The Gift of Giving"
As we reflect on our recent stewardship sermon series, "The Gift of Giving," my heart is filled with overwhelming gratitude and joy. Your commitment, faith, and spirit of generosity have truly embodied the essence of our Christian community.
First and foremost, I want to express my sincere gratitude for the time each of you spent in prayerful discernment. It is not simply about financial commitments; it is about understanding what God calls each of us to contribute towards our shared vision. This act of faith and trust is what empowers our beloved Trinity United Methodist Church to be a beacon of love, faith, and service.
Our vision, as you know, is clear and profound: “To be a Christian community inviting all to gather in love, grow in faith, and give back in joyful service.” Every financial commitment, large or small, makes this vision come alive, impacting lives on local, regional, and global scales. Because of your generosity, our reach extends far beyond our church walls, touching countless hearts and souls in profound ways.
Additionally, many of you pledged towards the Building Restoration Project. This project is not just about bricks and mortar; it is about securing, strengthening, and enhancing Trinity’s Home for current and future generations. It is about ensuring that our campus remains a strong, welcoming haven for all who seek God’s love.
I must also pause to extend a heartfelt thank you to our dedicated pastors, our diligent staff, and our selfless lay volunteers. Without your behind-the-scenes efforts, our journey through this series would not have been the same.
Lastly, as we approach the year’s end and look ahead to 2024, I challenge each one of you to continue praying for our church’s ministry. God has wonderful plans in store, and through our collective faith and action, we will witness great things in our community and beyond.
Thank you all! I am grateful for each of you and your love for God and Trinity United Methodist Church.
Grateful to be one of your pastors,
Pastor Dedric
